In Times of Despair

In times of despair,

As I sit saying my prayers,

I think of how thankful I am,

In still being here….

I think of my father,

A man with such charity,

He was never harsh to anyone,

He never practiced disparity…

I think of my mother,

A woman so thoughtful,

Although tough at times,

Her charm was delightful…

I think she is preparing to leave us,

And God is calling her home,

To join my father in heaven,

Now she’ll leave us all alone…

I think of my grandparents,

Who were always there,

Through thick and thin,

Always with hope and prayers…

I think of my uncles and aunts,

Some so special to me,

Just about all of them are gone,

Because in life there’s no guarantees…

During times of despair we turn to God, He will answer us…

This is dedicated to all those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one,

I share your grief.  May God be with you.
